Founder Brand

Personal branding, thought leadership, and founder content — written for operators, not influencers.

Founder branding is the most oversold idea in marketing and one of the highest-leverage when it fits. These notes try to hold both truths. They cover what founder-led marketing actually is — credibility transferring from a person to a company — and the system that makes it survive a founder's real calendar: capturing thinking you are already doing in meetings, composing in batches, and publishing to one channel properly rather than four adequately. They also cover the cases where it does not fit at all, because the advice environment has become almost entirely one-directional and founders regularly spend a year on something that was never going to work for their business model.

How We Work — Founder Brand

What an engagement looks like here.

Founder brand work starts with an honest conversation about whether it fits, because for a meaningful share of businesses the answer is no, or not yet. Where it does fit, the build is deliberately small: one defensible position, a capture-and-batch system that runs on roughly ninety minutes a week, and one channel done properly. We usually work with the founder directly for the first quarter to establish the material and the rhythm, then reduce to editing and structure once the habit holds. The measure we care about is not follower count but whether named people in the hiring, customer, and investor pipeline arrive already persuaded.

If that is the kind of partner you are looking for, our process sets out how engagements are scoped and run, and selected work shows the shape in practice. The rest of the journal covers the neighbouring categories.
